Emma Turns 7, today!

Emma turns 7 2012

Our challenge has started at The Outlaws Twisted Thursday challenge and the twist for this week is to make a card with something that has WHEELS. We would love to have you join us and see what you can come up with.  If you have time if would be wonderful to stop by and see all the awesome cards the design team has created. I made my card for special little girl in my life and her name is Emma and today is her birthday and she turns 7 years old today she is my granddaughter. Emma is my biggest fan and she loves to make cards. Oh I need to tell you her birthday gift is a week end at the Wisconsin Dells, the family is leaving tomorrow after school. If you have never been to the dells it is an indoor theme park. If you are a kid you could not ask for a better birthday present. The kids do not get gifts like this that easy believe me besides it being her birthday she would have to earn it. She is in the top of her class and if you ask her about school she would tell you, she loves it. First grade she reads on a third grade level, spells many words, lets say I could go on… You know how grandma’s are, but I have a birthday party to go too.

Die cuts for the shape of the card used grand nestabilities labels #11 used three difference sizes, romantic rectangle to cut the image out. Magnolia doohickeys leaf and swirl . Seven pink heats pearls one for each year. Corner rounder.

You're Spooktacular side 2012
I do want to tell you a little about what happen when I start a card. First I have no idea how it is going to turn out, none at all. It is important for me to pick out my paper but some times that can change for me because in the middle of coloring I might change my mind, minds do work in strange ways sometimes but I mean in good ways. I do I have to say I take my time doing a card no hurry for me I love doing them, no mass production for me. OK so things just come to my mind as I’m doing my images. Anymore questions just ask? I still have a few more can you believe this Halloween cards to do?  (for challenges) I’m starting to get my mind leaning toward Christmas now, have a lot to do… Oh boy!!! I just love creating them!!! How about you?

You're Spooktacular hole 2012Let me tell you a little about my Octagon Easel card. Here we go… The skeletons and ghosts are buttons from my stash. Added stickles glitter glue to the eyes of the skeletons color RED. Creative memories punch is the spider and I think he is the best. Added stickles all over the card you really can’t tell but it really sparkles the colors used are red, diamond and firefly. Used cheesecloth and added the diamond stickles. Also cut out the sentiment with a fiskars scissors.

I did make another Flat back treat box for one of the grand kids. You know how it is, can’t just make one and not for the other. The background paper is from Digital delight it is called HALLOWEEN SCENE CANDY APPLE. The green I add for the grass I made with Styrofoam so I call it Styrofoam fluff if you would like to try and make some here is the video on how to do it. I hope the video works, it is on YouTube.

Boo lefy 2012

The die cuts used are from Memory Box called leafy branch and woodland branch. Punches are Martha Steward’s picket fence and EK Success falling leaves. The scarecrow and the hay are stickers that was in my stash and the other embellishments are buttons. The small hear stone says  I.M. NOTWELL.

Boo markersThese are the copic markers that where used to color the images.

Dream A little Dream

Dream a little dream 2012

I have a card to share with you an it is for The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge and for this week our twist is to have a FLOWER AND SOME RHINESTONES. I do have to tell I got all done with my card and went to post it and for some reason I thought it was pearls so I had to go and add some rhinestones, so not a problem add some to the corners but you know how much I like the pearl pen and that color is sunny yellow. This card worked out so wonderful for me my fantastic daughter Kirsten (you know I do not have any daughters) I like to call my daughter in laws my daughters let me tell you why, when me and my hubby got married some 44 years ago ( it will be 45 in Oct) we wanted all girls but guess what we do not always get what we want, do we? So all my life I have had brothers no sisters (what a bummer) and them I did not get any daughters. My middle son Kurt gets married 11 years ago and I love my daughter Jessica so much and they give me a GRANDDAUGHTER Emma who will be 7 years the end of this month, see we do have some female gems in this family. I can not forget to tell you about Aiden will be 11 years in January, he is their (our) oldest and ok I will not get started about him but I do have to say he is an awesome grandson ( plays piano, violin). OK what was I talking about, oh yes Kirsten and this card, she is my NEW daughter and I’m so happy her and my oldest son David got married in June and she came with a DAUGHTER and that is even more exciting and there is even more in August Haleigh (that is her name) was adopted by my son, so now I was 2 granddaughters is this not getting better. So now I have 2 daughter and 2 granddaughter but i9t does not end their. My youngest son Robert and his girlfriend came over the other day and they had some news for us. Guess what? We are going to have a wedding… Is this not fantastic, I thought this time in my life would never happen. You might ask what time am I talking about, let me tell you… I never thought I would have all three of my boys married…. See this is what happens when my mind is thinking of all kinds of things. OK card Kirsten, her birthday is coming and she loves sunflowers so I made this card for her.
dream a little dream left 2012
Now that I put you to sleep.. My stamps are from stampabilities called Ray of Sunshine and the sentiment is called A little dream. Stamped the with Memento tuxedo black ink on Crygoen paper. Sponged around the sentiment with distress ink color scattered straw.

You can see the Beedz glass embellishment beads from Suzy Weinberg’s and used glossy accents to hold them on. The sunflowers I had in my stash. The leaves I made with the punch a bunch called chestnut leaf.

dream a little dream flowersI made a double bow and used my bow easy.
